Hunger is not a contest between the developed world
and the underdeveloped world.

Hunger exists everywhere. In Canada, a "developed" country, there is hunger. The use of food banks has increased dramatically over the last five years. And in many "developing" countries, many people are quite well-fed, and may be overfed. Hunger is the result of a social process, and those lowest on the rungs of society suffer hunger everywhere.
